Dedicated Educator and Administrator Thomas Connolly

Thomas Connolly is serving as the principal of Rock Brook School in Skillman, New Jersey. Thomas brings over 20 years of experience to this role as an educator and school administrator. He believes in equity and advocacy of all students and provides opportunities for students to reach their full potential and success. Thomas is a lifelong learner who shares his passion in education with his students, staff, and the greater school community.

Previously, Thomas Connolly served as principal at a Florham Park, New Jersey-based elementary school. In addition to successfully re-opening the school in compliance with COVID-19 protocols, his responsibilities in this role ranged from evaluating staff under the Danielson framework to developing and maintaining the school budget. Prior to his work in Florham Park, Thomas Connolly served as an assistant elementary school principal in the Clinton Township School District. He has further experience as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing with the Summit Speech School and as a response to intervention (RTI) teacher with the Lebanon Township School District.

Mr. Connolly studied speech pathology and audiology as an undergraduate at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a bachelor of science degree. He furthered his education in a graduate program at Bloomsburg University, during which time he studied educational approaches for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. In addition to his master of science in education of the deaf and hard of hearing, Mr. Connolly completed the New Jersey Expedited Certification for Educational Leadership Program (NJEXCEL), an innovative and nationally recognized program leading to school leader state certification.

Away from work, Thomas Connolly enjoys reading, exercising, swimming, and playing golf.
